Anti-LGBT influencers/terrorists got a child killed in Oklahoma
Who will hold them accountable?
A high school sophomore in Oklahoma was beaten so badly in the school bathroom that she died the next morning from her injuries.
Nex Benedict and another student were targeted at Owasso High School two weeks ago, on Feb. 7, 2023, following more than a year of unrelenting abuse that the school did nothing to stop.
Now, in attempt to control the damage and stave off the potential civil and legal consequences, those who are responsible for Nex’s death – from the students who killed her, to the school that neglected to call for aid, to the state officials promoting anti-LGBT conspiracy theories and even the domestic terrorist who initiated bomb threats at Nex’s school – have been working overtime to rewrite the story.
DO NOT let the far-right cult obfuscate what happened to Nex Benedict.
They thrive on attention and manipulation, and have been divorced from reality for quite some time.
A child is dead. Until Nex's mother spoke out and people found out about what happened, there was no investigation. Police announced their intent to begin interviewing witnesses yesterday – after the story went viral and public outcry ensued.
Here's how they're going to try to get away with lying about what happened and their own culpability:
1. They'll say she didn't die in the bathroom.
When someone is gravely injured in a car accident and is declared dead at the hospital some time later, we still say they died in a car accident because the accident was the cause of death.
2. They’ll say there’s no “proof” Nex was targeted for being non-binary. According to Nex's mom and the other students, Nex was badly beaten in the bathroom with another LGBT student who were both targeted for being members of that community.
3. They’ll speculate that the death was unrelated, or even possibly a suicide.
Statements from the mother and witnesses who have come forward all confirmed the following information:
Nex and another student were targeted in the bathroom
A teacher was outside of the bathroom but did not intervene until several minutes after the beating began
Other students ultimately broke up the alternation
One of the assailants was seen slamming Nex’s head into the ground several times
Despite these circumstances, the school did not call police or an ambulance
The school nurse told Nex’s mom that she needed to go to the hospital
The hospital discharged Nex after she sustained head trauma
Nex died the next morning on the way to get a follow-up exam
Nex had been viciously bullied for most of the year
The school suspended Nex for two weeks for “fighting” even though Nex was the victim of the attack
And of course none of that would matter any less if the unsubstantiated rumors of suicide (started by the very people who drove these other children to brutally attack their own classmate) were remotely true. Being brutally beaten could absolutely drive a vulnerable teen to suicide. The onus is on those who targeted, beat and instigated the violence to prove they had no part in Nex’s death.
How domestic terrorists played a role in Nex’s death:
– The domestic terrorist behind Libs of TikTok targeted Nex’s school earlier in the year, resulting in the termination of one of Nex’s closest teachers who had recently taken a new job as principal of an elementary school, and also instigated bomb threats to Nex’s school
– After the terrorist instigated threats against Nex’s school, the state’s far-right superintendent of education appointed the terrorist to a state education board.
– The day before Nex was beaten in the bathroom, the school superintendent posted this photo with the terrorist to his official Xitter page
– In the two weeks since Nex’s death, the superintendent has promoted conspiracy theories about drag and porn in schools, but has not acknowledged Nex’s death or shown any sign of remorse.
