Twisters: Can we really kill a tornado?
How accurate is the film, and why outrage over climate change's absense is unfounded.
Every semester while I worked as a TA, I gave students the opportunity to earn extra credit by writing an essay about the scientific accuracy of a disaster film.
Some chose to have fun with the assignment, breaking down the lunacy of films like "Sharknado," while others took on more serious and accurate films, like "Bølgen" ("The Wave").
One of the more popular films chosen each semester was the 1996 classic "Twister."
Now that the much-anticipated sequel is out, nearly 30 years later, the obvious question is: how accurate is it?
