World leaders at the United Nations’ first climate meeting since Trump’s re-election showed no sign of slowing down, despite the US’ recent rampage against climate action.
Secretary-General António Guterres reaffirmed the UN’s commitment to meeting the world’s climate goals yesterday.
“As we heard today, the world is moving forward. Full-speed ahead. No group or government can stop the clean energy revolution”, said Guterres.

The United States has long played the role of obstructionist in working toward meaningful action on global warming.
